(02/13/2005) MrPostman 1.1 release candidate 4 was released. Some problems with international characters and redirects for attachments were fixed.

(01/09/2005) MrPostman 1.1 release candidate 2 was released. With this version the conversion to script based modules was finished. One major improvement of MrPostman is the automatic update of the webmail scripts.

(08/10/2004) The newest version has a module which is based on scripts, which are much easier to develop and fix than regular Java modules. Currently supported webmail providers are indiatimes.com, gossamer mail and outlook web access. Eventually all modules (yahoo, mail.com and hotmail) should be converted to scripts. The sending of messages through webmail accounts is now also possible, but only implemented for indiatimes.com and outlook web access.
The newer versions of MrPostman also simplify the installation as service under Windows: The installation program will copy all necessary files and create appropriate links in the start menu.

(03/23/2003) Chris has modified the Hotmail module in order to support the new login layout adopted by MSN. This change is reflected on RC4. Thanks Chris!.

(03/10/2003) The MrPostman development team has been working hard to deliver RC3. This should be the last release candidate before the 1.0 version comes out. About some other things, this release includes: Proxy Support(LB), Hotmail fixes(CH),Yahoo Message Deletion(HU), Outlook documentation (CH), Installer bugfixes (LB), Maildotcom documentation (LB), Port textfield now works (HU).

(02/17/2003) It has been a long time since the last news update, but I am very happy to announce the release of MrPostman-1.0RC1, the most complete version yet! some of the new features include support for hotmail, yahoo, mail.com and another.com, a cool looking installer (thanks to the nice guys at IzPack http://www.izforge.com/izpack), updated help documentation and more... see it for yourself!
This release is made possible by the hard work of the MrPostman Development Team: Cheers Guys!!! and to the rest of the world... enjoy the program, join the mailing lists and keep the patches coming!

(12/02/2002) The code is now in CVS. Let me know if you are writing a module or desperately need developer access.

(12/02/2002) Another beta (beta4) has been released, this time with Hotmail support!

(11/22/2002) Excellent news!. Chris Humphreys has written a Hotmail module for MrPostman. He has also given me some really positive feedback on the design. I expect to see another beta release with Hotmail included very soon. Thanks Chris!.

(11/4/2002) I've been cleaning the code, making small changes and working on a GUI in order to make a decent release. I've been pretty busy with other things too, so it can be a month until I finish it. If anybody is interested on a development snapshot, please let me know. I'd really like someone to write a module for Hotmail or some other webmail service.

(7/2/2002) After some debugging, the code seems to have basic functionality. It is definitely usable and decently designed, but the code is a little ugly. Only Yahoo! is supported.
